Estrategias metacognitivas en la lectura y la escritura

Abstract

En este artículo el autor presenta un compendio y una reflexión en torno a los procesos que ocurren durante la lectura y la escritura, especialmente en el plano metacognitivo del uso y de su enseñanza, y con el propósito de adelantar un aporte al trabajo de los docentes en el aula. Para comprender el alcance de la metacognición en la enseñanza, Mostacero establece que es necesario, por una parte, destacar el origen de este enfoque y, por otra, relacionarlo con los modelos interactivos y discursivos de los años 90. Así, el autor muestra que las teorías sobre la cognición se encuentran con las teorías sobre el aprendizaje, y que las investigaciones sobre la escritura como proceso se interrelacionan con las investigaciones de la lectura como hecho interactivo. Por último, los procedimientos metacognitivos —entendidos como estrategias de aprendizaje— son descritos y ejemplificados tanto en actividades de lectura como de escritura.
