Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo los Huertos escolares como escenarios pedagógicos para la enseñanza de las ciencias naturales con estudiantes de grado décimo del colegio Enrique Olaya Herrera (Neiva, Huila). Para ello, se trabajó desde el enfoque Inteligencia Múltiple Naturalista, con instrumentos como la entrevista semiestructura, talleres y salidas pedagógicas, así como, el trabajo en campo para la construcción de la Huerta escolar. Para la institución, la realización de la investigación permitió que se articulara la huerta escolar con el PRAEy al diseño curricular del curso de biología. Además, los estudiantes reconocieron la importancia de la soberanía alimentaria, la producción agrícola, el trabajo en equipo, la responsabilidad, el sentido de pertenencia por lo realizado, el fundamento de la curiosidad en el estudiante y fomentaron los retos personales a los que fueron expuestos. Como conclusión, elegir la huerta escolar como estrategia didáctica y de aprendizaje fue uno de los métodos de aprendizaje exitosos tanto para los docentes como para los estudiantes, se pudo fomentar el trabajo en equipo, vincular el contenidocurricular y generar nuevo escenario de clase, se pudo evidenciar que el trabajo desde la huerta permite reconstruir el modelo de aprendizaje y fomentar la investigación participativa.
