Faunistic researches on spiders (Araneae) in Poland: a historical background and perspectives.This paper presents the history of research and summarizes the faunistic data on spiders occurring inPoland. An analysis of the degree of knowledge of the national fauna was also carried out. A summaryconcerning the number of species found in particular zoogeographical regions was presented.
