Transformaciones del paisaje agrario gallego en la Edad Moderna

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es tratar de reflexionar, desde una perspectiva historica, sobre la evolucion del paisaje agrario gallego en la Edad Moderna (siglos XVI -XVIII) y primera mitad del XIX, centrandonos para ello en el analisis de la antigua provincia de Lugo. En esta zona de Galicia, principalmente desde la segunda mitad del XVIII, importantes transformaciones en el sistema agrario (introduccion de nueva plantas, "acortinamento de agras", aumento de la superficie dedicada a prado e intensificacion de la roturacion de monte�), contribuyen, en gran medida, a configurar las caracteristicas de su actual paisaje agrario.
