Abstract Recovery of masticated rubber was measured at different temperatures. Recovery was found to be influenced, but not governed, by plasticity. A quick method, working at 100°, gave information on the influence of fillers and of storage at room temperature and at 70° C. The influence of recovery and plasticity on set up after calendering was determined.
