Abstract

O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar duas coleções editoriais lançadas durante a pandemia de Covid-19 no Brasil. As coleções “Pandemia Capital”, lançada para editora Boitempo, e a “2020 – Ensaios sobre a pandemia”, lançada pela editora Todavia, servem como estudos de caso para se observar elementos centrais da configuração do mercado editorial contemporâneo no Brasil. Por meio de uma análise dos títulos publicados, autores e formatos, meio de divulgação e demais características gerais das editoras em questão, foi possível perceber semelhanças entre as iniciativas que são bastante reveladoras das tendências que se impõem a publicação de livros no país. A aposta no formato digital, a intensa atuação nas redes sociais, as narrativas breves, com textos curtos, a padronização de preços e dos projetos gráficos são alguns dos elementos que unem ambas as iniciativas, servindo como parâmetro para se pensar um novo tempo no mercado editorial brasileiro.
