La transferencia de conocimiento como pilar del desarrollo tecnológico

Abstract

La transferencia de conocimiento (TC) es el puente entre la generación de saberes y su aplicación para crear valor económico y social en la sociedad del conocimiento. A diferencia de la transferencia tecnológica, centrada en productos o invenciones, la TC abarca también los intangibles: prácticas, habilidades, datos y aprendizajes que permiten resolver problemas y mejorar decisiones. Su efectividad depende de condiciones organizacionales: cultura que favorezca compartir, incentivos adecuados, capacidades del personal para absorber e internalizar conocimiento y contextos que reduzcan barreras informacionales. En las universidades, la TC se traduce en proyectos con la industria, formación de talento, licenciamiento, spin-offs y oficinas de transferencia, fortaleciendo pertinencia y sostenibilidad. Para las empresas, habilita innovaciones, productividad, reducción de riesgos y acceso a infraestructura y talento. Los mecanismos incluyen repositorios y bases de datos, interacciones formales e informales, consultoría, investigación contratada, consorcios, movilidad académica y estudiantil, así como licencias y creación de empresas de base tecnológica. La TC requiere gobernanza clara, métricas de desempeño y estrategias de largo plazo que integren teoría y práctica. Cuando se consolida como práctica cultural y no como imposición, impulsa ecosistemas de innovación más colaborativos, acelera la adopción tecnológica y eleva la competitividad regional mediante aprendizajes acumulativos y redes de cooperación duraderas.
