Dinámica y perspectivas del empleo informal juvenil en la Ciudad de México

Abstract

La elevada tasa de informalidad que presenta el mercado laboral mexicano es un signo de fragilidad que provoca efectos nocivos, principalmente, entre los grupos vulnerables: jóvenes, mujeres, adultos de la tercera edad y migrantes. El propósito del presente documento es determinar los factores que causan el empleo informal en el estrato de población joven de la Ciudad de México. Los jóvenes representan un grupo muy importante en cualquier estrategia de desarrollo, por lo que las políticas públicas deben de generarles un ambiente propicio que potencialice sus competencias; ello les facilitará su incursión en empleos de calidad y mejor remunerados, mejorando su bienestar y expectativas de vida.
