Techos verdes en las áreas urbanas y su relación con la Agenda 2030

Abstract

Las ciudades se enfrentan con un problema medioambiental por la disminución de sus espacios abiertos y naturales, los cuales aportan servicios ecosistémicos esenciales para sus habitantes. Las soluciones basadas en la naturaleza (SbN) promueven el aprovechamiento de los ecosistemas en beneficio de la sociedad, una solución son los techos verdes que han sido implementados para recuperar áreas verdes urbanas (AVU). Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible son un instrumento que conforma metas establecidas internacionalmente para mejorar las condiciones actuales y asegurar un futuro adecuado. La propuesta de este trabajo es relacionar los servicios aportados por el techo verde con respecto a los ODS. La metodología fue del tipo cualitativa por medio de una revisión bibliográfica histórica, el uso del software VOSviewer para un análisis de coocurrencia de temáticas principales. Fue posible la identificación de los siguientes servicios ecosistémicos: servicios culturales (SC), servicios regulatorios (SR), servicios de aprovisionamiento (SA), y servicios de soporte (SS) en correspondencia a siete beneficios proporcionados por el techo verde, los cuales fueron vinculados a siete ODS y diecisiete de sus metas. El techo verde provee numerosos beneficios se comprobó que puede dar respuesta a ODS en todas las ramas de la sustentabilidad, los tomadores de decisiones deben considerar aumentar la implementación de esta tecnología de naturación.
