Abstract

Nuestros problemas sociales, económicos y políticos son difíciles de abordar con los enfoques reduccionistas tradicionales, y su tratamiento mediante el análisis teórico tradicional y las teorías asociadas de planeación y administración lineales es muy limitado. Para enfrentar estos retos, nuestros sistemas sociales deben enfocarse como sistemas dinámicos no lineales, interactivos, capaces de adaptación, aprendizaje e innovación y con una tendencia a estructurarse en redes complejas. El objetivo de este libro es abordar de manera rigurosa los conceptos, métodos y técnicas del enfoque de los sistemas complejos al análisis, la planeación y la gestión de sistemas sociales desde el punto de vista de las ciencias de la complejidad y de las nuevas teorías sociales; y cómo aplicar las técnicas de modelado computacional de sistemas dinámicos con el fin de explorar nuevos métodos, modelos y técnicas para mejorar tanto el diagnóstico como la intervención para resolver problemas complejos de carácter social, dando las bases de una metametodología de la complejidad social y apoyar la formación de recursos humanos capacitados en el enfoque de los sistemas complejos.
