Abstract

Our identities as regional scientists may have origins from an advisor, a theory, or a regional science meeting. Further, how we identify regions may be influenced by how our regional data have been historically organized. We must continue to innovate how we apply these identities for our discipline to maintain its pragmatic value and be sustainable long-term.
