Abstract

Se prueba un modelo econométrico del tipo de cambio real de equilibrio, donde las determinantes son las productividades relativas (Argentina y USA) de los sectores transables y no transables, junto con los activos externos netos. Las predicciones sugieren que el tipo de cambio real de equilibrio debería ubicarse un 20% por debajo del nivel promedio del año 2004. Este nivel es elevado y alienta las exportaciones, incluyendo las agrícolas.
