Debido a las transformaciones que introdujeron los avances científicos ytecnológicos en las empresas, los activos intangibles (AI) presentan una importante participación en el valor de la firma. Desde la perspectivacontable, existen diferentes enfoques sobre su reconocimiento, medición yexposición. Como consecuencia de la idea expuesta, el trabajo propone unestudio comparativo y didáctico de las normas contables argentinas e internacionales relacionadas con los AI y se estructura de la siguientemanera: en la primera parte se conceptualiza e introduce la importancia de los AI. La segunda, tercera y cuarta parte estudian, en forma comparativa, eltratamiento brindado por las normas nacionales e internacionales. Finalmente se exponen las principales conclusiones.
