Del “último Dios” a los hiperobjetos. Un entrecruzamiento reflexivo sobre las filosofías de Martin Heidegger y Timothy Morton

Abstract

La época que estamos transitando nos muestra características sumamente desafiantes que nunca antes se le habían presentado de un modo tan urgente a la humanidad. En efecto, hemos comenzado a transitar un período poshumanista, posnatural y posepistemológico (Latour, 2017). Estas novedosas características se inscriben en un contexto tanto posmetafísico como posantropocéntrico (Morton, 2018). En este aspecto, todo parece indicar que muchas de las “clásicas” categorías que han caracterizado a la historia de la filosofía han llegado a su etapa de consumación. Por el contrario, es la realidad misma, la convulsionada situación de nuestro planeta, concretamente de nuestra biosfera, la que nos insta a repensar creativamente los tiempos que nos atraviesan. Dicho pensamiento implica un reto para que la filosofía se anime a desplazar términos ya caducos para implementar herramientas conceptuales acordes a esta época. Problemáticas como el cambio climático, la extinción masiva de las especies o la devastación de los ecosistemas son algunos de los fenómenos que impactan de un modo vehemente sobre los diversos seres vivos, incluidos los humanos. La buena noticia es que los humanos ya no ocupan la centralidad del escenario planetario. El “paso del último Dios” en Heidegger y los “hiperobjetos” de Timothy Morton están ejerciendo una “revuelta ontológica” que hace trizas al sujeto moderno. Nuestra intención es mostrar la posible articulación entre ambos pensadores con el fin de responder con un pensamiento acorde al llamado de la Tierra.
