Resumo: Este artigo pretende discutir a flexibilizacao do trabalho e sua precarizacao como consequencia. Recupera duas questoes relativas a formas de gestao e organizacao do trabalho que, num quadro de profundas transformacoes economicas e sociais, sao interpretadas em ângulos ora convergentes, ora contraditorios e excludentes: a) o trabalho informal, b) o trabalho autogestionario, analisados agora dentro da perspectiva participacionista das teorias de gestao empresarial e como alternativa aos custos que integram o trabalho assalariado.
