Abstract

Bioequivalence of azithromicyn free and complexed in ?-cyclodextrins Ciclodextrinas (CDs) sao oligossacarideos ciclicos, nao redutores, capazes de formar complexos de inclusao com outras moleculas, modificando suas caracteristicas quimicas e fisicas.O objetivo deste trabalho e complexar azitromicina em ?-ciclodextrinas (?-CD) e testar in vivo sua liberacao comparando com o farmaco comercial. As concentracoes plasmaticas foram determinadas por cromatografia liquida acoplada ao detector de massa. O estudo indica que as ciclodextrinas ou complexos de inclusao sao estruturas que confere estabilidade a azitromicina, provoca liberacao controlada e diminuicao dos efeitos toxicos.Diferencas foram observadas nas temperaturas de transicao de fases e na morfologia dos cristais dos compostos puros (azitromicina/ ?-CD) evidenciando complexacao.As formulacoes com ?-ciclodextrinas mostraram efeitos melhores que o farmaco livre, em termos de duracao, e util nas clinicas como fonte de interacao paciente e tratamento, reduzindo assim a quantidade de farmaco administrada. 10.5216/ref.v5i1.4613
