Abstract

Tanah ekspansif adalah jenis tanah yang memiliki kemampuan untuk mengembang dan menyusut tergantung pada kadar air yang dikandungnya. Di Kecamatan Cisauk, Kota Tangerang, banyak sekali kerusakan pada struktur bangunan dan/ atau jalan akibat tanah ekspansif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi tanah ekspansif termasuk karakteristik fisiknya dalam menentukan nilai kohesi (c) dan sudut geser dalam (f) dengan menggunakan uji triaksial UU (unconsolidated undrained). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan nilai kohesi sebesar 0,33 kg/cm² atau 32,94 kN/m² dan sudut geser dalam sebesar 20,51°. Kedua data ini digunakan untuk menganalisis stabilitas lereng dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak software PLAXIS, yang dilakukan dua kali untuk kondisi musim hujan dan kemarau. Setiap kondisi diuji pada tiga variasi kemiringan lereng, yaitu 20°, 40°, dan 60°. Hasil pemodelan menunjukkan bahwa nilai faktor keamanan (FK) lebih tinggi pada lereng yang lebih landai dan menurun seiring dengan kemiringan yang curam. Selain itu, (FK) lebih tinggi pada musim kemarau dibandingkan musim hujan. Kondisi tanah akan menjadi kadar air akan menjadi lebih jenuh saat musim hujan.
