Estrategias sindicales en dos grandes empresas fragmentadas y filiales de Coca-Cola en Chile

Abstract

El artículo analiza las estrategias sindicales mediante las cuales los peonetas subcontratados por dos grandes empresas del sector de distribución de la industria de bebestibles en Chile (filiales de The Coca Cola Company), intentan superar las limitaciones estructurales de sus procesos de trabajo y de sus condiciones de empleo. Para esto se sintetizaron dos investigaciones cualitativas basadas en la observación participante durante tres años (2014-2016) con la Federación que aglutina a los trabajadores peonetas de ambas empresas (FENASIPEC). Recurriendo a las teorías de los procesos de trabajo, de la empresa en red y al enfoque de los recursos de poder se concluye que una de las principales fortalezas del sindicalismo de los peonetas de Coca-Cola está en su poder asociativo, particularmente en el “núcleo militante” de la FENASIPEC, que ejercerá un rol clave en la creación y articulación de los diferentes sindicatos regionales de peonetas. Así también, movilizaron con éxito su poder estructural “en el lugar de la distribución” de mercancías de Coca-Cola con una paralización nacional de más de diez días en el contexto de la realización de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA Brasil 2014.
