Abstract

¿Existe algún criterio normativo para determinar el límite territorial y poblacional de la comunidad política? Sólo la facticidad histórica parece en la filosofía contemporánea tener derecho a responder a esta cuestión. El artículo enfrenta la respuesta que dieron Platón y Maquiavelo a ella y concluye que del modo cómo lo hacen se derivan dos tipos de republicanismo.
