Abstract

On the basis of the analytical value of female monasticism as an indicator of political change, this article focuses on one of its most notorious at the beginning of the Modern Age: the intensification of the link with the nobility in one dimension of nobility power and female subordination of the dominant imposition of endowments. This approach applies to a particular geohistoric scope, the bishopric of Cordoba between the imposition of the Catholic Monarchs religious reform (1495) and the dawn of Trento (1550). The contents of the board in its application cordovan, of their implementation and development processes and their effects on the nuns is completed with a description of the new political context in the coordination of the different systems of power, civil and ecclesiastical.
