Partiendo del valor analítico del monacato femenino como indicador de cambio político, se centra la atención sobre uno de sus aspectos más notorios a comienzos de la Edad Moderna: la intensificación del vínculo con la nobleza en una dimensión de poder nobiliario y subordinación femenina a través de la imposición dominante de patronatos. Este planteamiento se aplica a un ámbito geohistórico concreto, el obispado de Córdoba entre la imposición de la reforma religiosa de los Reyes Católicos (1495) y los albores de Trento (1550). El estudio de los contenidos de la figura jurídica del patronato en su aplicación cordobesa, de sus efectos sobre las monjas y de sus procesos de implantación y desarrollo, se completa con una descripción del nuevo contexto político fundado en la coordinación de los distintos sistemas de poder, civiles y eclesiásticos.
On the basis of the analytical value of female monasticism as an indicator of political change, this article focuses on one of its most notorious at the beginning of the Modern Age: the intensification of the link with the nobility in one dimension of nobility power and female subordination of the dominant imposition of endowments. This approach applies to a particular geohistoric scope, the bishopric of Cordoba between the imposition of the Catholic Monarchs religious reform (1495) and the dawn of Trento (1550). The contents of the board in its application cordovan, of their implementation and development processes and their effects on the nuns is completed with a description of the new political context in the coordination of the different systems of power, civil and ecclesiastical.
