Transmutación e figuras de exclusión en Mirror, unha novela gráfica de Emma Ríos e Hwei Lim

Abstract

¿Cal é a relación entre o ser humano en relación a outras especies e o medio natural? ¿É posible domesticar e reificar a periferia animal por medio da ciencia? ¿Cales son as consecuencias da trasmutación? ¿Que figuras permiten identificar as posicións de rebeldía animal e doutras formas de vida en relación ao arroallo antropocéntrico? ¿Como se representa a subxectivación de seres híbridos? ¿En que medida os conceptos de paria e tránsfuga serven para representar a exclusión e, ao tempo, proxectar un futuro novo? ¿É posible unha alianza multiespecie? Emma Ríos e Hwei Lim son coautoras de Mirror (Image, 2016-2019), unha complexa e elaborada novela gráfica de sci-fantasy que ofrece unha crítica ao humanismo, o control dos saberes, a experimentación animal, a viaxe interplanetaria e á intervención do Antropoceno no planeta. A partir das achegas das figuras da exclusión da teoría política (Hannah Arendt, Eleni Varikas, Martine Leibovici) e dos estudos de xénero e sexualidade sobre a subxectividade relacional, a alianza multiespecie e o entorno natural (Donna Haraway, Marta Segarra, Preciado), o cómic ofrece unha crítica ao especismo e a acción da humanidade sobre os planetas ao tempo que atopa no devir-paria e no devir-tránsfuga una oportunidade para xerar alianzas na periferia do poder e crear un mundo habitable.
