La realidad conceptual del sinhogarismo.

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se lleva a cabo una revisión conceptual en torno al sinhogarismo. En primer lugar se recogen las principales elaboraciones que han ido surgiendo desde los años 70 del pasado siglo, desarrollando los antecedentes sobre los que se asienta la actual comprensión de la realidad “sin hogar”. Igualmente, se centra la atención en el concepto de “hogar”. A través del concepto de hogar y de las aportaciones de la literatura internacional, se da cuenta del paradigma conceptual bajo el cual se entiende el sinhogarismo pero también, otras formas de exclusión residencial. Asimismo, el artículo reflexiona en torno a las potencialidades y limitaciones vinculadas a esta forma de abordar esta la realidad “sin hogar”. Por último, se presenta un marco comprehensivo de aproximación al sinhogarismo considerando los factores que están en la base de su aparición y mantenimiento. Así, se asienta una perspectiva analítica que conceptualiza y comprende el sinhogarismo bajo el paradigma teórico y analítico de la exclusión social.
