LARINGOSCOPIA DIRETA VS VIDEOLARINGOSCOPIA: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

Abstract

Objetivo: Analisar as vantagens e desvantagens da videolaringoscopia (VLG) comparada a laringoscopia direta (LD), afim de compreender os benefícios dos procedimento citados. Métodos: A abordagem metodológica deste trabalho se propõe a um compilado de pesquisas bibliográficas de abordagem qualitativa e caráter descritivo por meio de uma revisão integrativa da literatura nas bases de dados eletrônicas National Library of Medicine, Directory of Open Access Journals e Scientific Electronic Library Online. Os descritores utilizados foram: ´´Videolaryngoscopy´´, ´´Direct Laryngoscopy´´ e ´´Intubation´´. Os critérios de inclusão foram ensaio clínico, artigos de jornal, texto gratuito e completo e artigos publicados entre 2006 e 2021. Resultados: Demonstraram uma melhor visualização glótica, maiores taxas de sucesso na intubação e menores traumas de vias aéreas devido a menores forças aplicadas nos tecidos moles durante o procedimento quando utilizado a VLG. Porém, o tempo de intubação foi maior quando comparada a LD. Considerações Finais: Dessa forma, a VLG demonstrou-se como uma ferramenta superior no processo de intubação e pode se associar a menores taxas de iatrogenia.
