ANÁLISE DO PERFIL EPIDEMIOLÓGICO DOS CASOS DE FENDA LABIAL E PALATINA NO ESTADO DO PARANÁ

Abstract

Fendas labias e palatinas são malformações craniofaciais congênitas, de etiologia multifatorial e que traz um impacto importante nos campos estéticos, funcionais e emocionais do portador, podendo levar a um aumento da morbimortalidade infantil devido a complicações. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar o perfil epidemiológico das fendas labiais e palatinas no estado do Paraná entre 2019 e 2023, a partir de dados secundários do Sistema de Informações Hospitalares do SUS (SIHSUS), acessados via DATASUS. Foram avaliados fatores como macrorregião, sexo, raça, idade materna, escolaridade, duração da gestação e número de consultas no pré-natal. O total de casos registrados foi de 421, sendo que as regiões com maior número de casos registrados foram as macrorregiões Leste (46,08%) e Oeste (26,6%). O sexo masculino foi mais prevalente com 61,7% dos casos e a raça branca foi predominante (70%). A prevalência média de fendas labiais e palatinas no estado do Paraná foi de 5,8 casos a cada 10.000 nascidos vivos. A análise destaca a importância da notificação adequada e a implementação de tratamento cirúrgico precoce, com abordagem multidisciplinar, para minimizar os impactos funcionais, emocionais e estéticos.
