Transactional Databases Hyperscaling: To Be or Not to Be?

Transactional Databases Hyperscaling: To Be or Not to Be?

Abstract

While linear scaling of analytic workloads has been achieved long ago, transactional workloads have proved to be an issue. Certain milestones in this regard are achieved now as well, thanks both to hardware progress and database architecture innovation. Still, a definitive solution to this problem is yet to be found.
