Abstract

Introducción: la hemofilia es una condición médica que conduce a un defecto hemostático, con manifestaciones clínicas que se presentan en los casos severos desde el primer año de vida. Los pacientes con diagnóstico de hemofilia severa y moderada con patrón de severo, se benefician de tratamiento de profilaxis: aplicación de factor de manera continua y regular, con el fin de prevenir los episodios de sangrado. Puede ser primaria, secundaria o terciaria dependiendo de la edad de aparición y/o el grado de compromiso articular, lo cual se considera un estándar de cuidado. El abordaje de esta condición, por su baja frecuencia, debe incluir el manejo por las diferentes disciplinas que constituyen un programa de hemofilia. El objetivo es describir la población en profilaxis y los desenlaces en un programa integral de atención en hemofilia. Materiales y métodos: se incluyeron hombres niños y adultos con diagnóstico de hemofilia A y B severa o moderada con patrón de severa en profilaxis, evaluados en un programa de hemofilia en el periodo comprendido entre el 1° de enero de 2015 al 31 de diciembre de 2019. Se efectuó análisis estadístico descriptivo.
