EFECTO DE PRODUCTOS CON REGULADORES DE CRECIMIENTO SOBRE LA FLORACIÓN Y AMARRE DE FRUTO EN CHILE ‘HABANERO’

Abstract

Uno de los principales problemas en la producción de chile habanero en el estado de Campeche, México, es una pérdida importante de flor y fruto de la planta. Por ello, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo: evaluar el efecto de diferentes reguladores de crecimiento comerciales, sobre la floración y amarre de fruto. La evaluación se realizó en campo e invernadero en la localidad de Chiná, Campeche, México, ubicada los 18º 41' latitud norte y 90º 59' longitud oeste, con la siembra de la variedad Habanero. Los tratamientos consistieron en la aplicación durante el periodo reproductivo de los siguientes productos fitoreguladores: Maxigrow, Biofol, Bioforte, Biocrop, Biozyme, más un tratamiento testigo, consistente en la no aplicación de estos productos. Las variables de estudio fueron número de flores y frutos por planta; longitud y diámetro de fruto y rendimiento de fruto. Las plantas de chile 'Habanero' mostraron un efecto diferencial positivo a la aplicación de los reguladores de crecimiento empleados, en especial a Maxigrow, el que promovió un mayor desarrollo vegetativo y reproductivo, propiciando un mayor amarre de flor y fruto; así como de rendimiento. El cultivo en invernadero indujo a tener plantas con numerosos frutos, pero pequeños; contrario a lo observado en campo, en donde se observaron plantas más pequeñas, con frutos grandes y bien desarrollados, dando como consecuencia mayor rendimiento.
