EFECTOS DE PROHEXADIONA – Ca EN TOMATE Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA VARIACIÓN DE LA CONCENTRACIÓN DE GIBERELINAS Y CITOCININAS

Abstract

La investigación se realizó con el propósito de conocer los efectos de prohexadionaCa (P-Ca) sobre el crecimiento vegetativoreproductivo y su relación con giberelinas y citocininas endógenas en híbridos experimentales de tomate (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) Saladette con hábito de crecimiento determinado e indeterminado. Se aplicó el retardante de crecimiento a plantas de tomate en invernadero cuando éstas alcanzaron 12 hojas verdaderas a concentraciones de 0 (testigo), 175 y 250 mg·litro-1. Los resultados mostraron que el bioregulador provocó una notable reducción en la altura de la planta durante seis días posteriores a la aplicación en ambos híbridos. Este efecto fue revertido desde 8 días después del tratamiento. El número de entrenudos, número de hojas, diámetro de tallo, número de racimos y frutos, peso del fruto, sólidos solubles, firmeza del fruto y producción por planta se incrementaron por efecto del tratamiento con prohexadiona de calcio, mientras que el radio del fruto no fue afectado. Las concentraciones de P-Ca utilizadas, redujeron los niveles de giberelinas y aumentaron los de citocininas en meristemos apicales. En estos tejidos se identificaron las giberelinas A12, A20, y zeatina. En ápices testigo se encontraron las giberelinas A1, A4, A7 y zeatina
