The term hybrid has become a concept that often shows itself in every field in today’s world. This term, which is defined as a hybrid or a combination of two genres, creates a strong design language consisting of differences in every field by bringing together the contrasts. The term hybrid, which brings together the differences that are perceived as opposite but support the same purpose, has started to be used frequently in the field of ceramics today. In addition to artistic works called hybrid, there is also hybrid tableware for use. Different decor and form combinations are seen in hybrid tableware, where aesthetics and functionality are combined. It is seen that the hybrid tableware in question for use also offers a different aesthetic understanding in its own field, has a dynamic structure, and is looking for new doors in the minds of its buyers. Within the scope of the study, hybrid tableware in the field of national and international ceramics has been examined within the framework of the hybrid way of thinking that brings together contrasts, and the contribution of this term to creativity is examined through examples.

Hibrit güncel bir terim olarak günümüz dünyasında her alanda sıklıkla kendini gösteren bir kavram haline gelmiştir. Melez ya da iki türün bir araya gelmesinden oluşan, olarak tanımlanan bu terim, zıtlıkları buluşturarak her alanda farklılıklardan oluşan güçlü bir tasarım dili yaratmaktadır. Zıt gibi algılanan ancak aynı amacı destekleyen farklılıkları bir araya getiren hibrit (melez) terimi, günümüzde seramik alanında da sıklıkla kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Hibrit olarak tabir edilen sanatsal eserlerin yanı sıra, fonksiyonel hibrit sofra ürünleri de bulunmaktadır. Estetik anlayışın fonksiyonellikle buluşturulduğu hibrit sofra ürünlerinde farklı dekor, biçim ve malzeme birliktelikleri görülmektedir. Kullanıma dönük söz konusu hibrit ürünlerin kendi alanında da farklı bir estetik anlayış sunduğu, dinamik bir yapıya sahip olup alıcısının zihninde yeni kapılar araladığı görülmektedir. Çalışma kapsamında hibrit terimi, ulusal ve uluslararası seramik alanında yer alan hibrit sofra ürünleri, dekor, biçim, malzeme birliktelikleri çerçevesinde incelenmiş, hibrit terimin yaratıcılığa olan katkısı örnekler üzerinden irdelenmiştir.
