AVALIAÇÃO DA INFLUÊNCIA DO ULTRASSOM NA REAÇÃO DE EPOXIDAÇÃO DO ÓLEO DE TUNGUE

Abstract

O uso de oleos vegetais em reacoes de epoxidacao e uma opcao sustentavel e ecologica para a sintese dos epoxidos, que tem uma grande variedade de aplicacoes. Em um reator sonoquimico, foram estabelecidos padroes de experimentos com e sem o uso de acido acetico e investigado a influencia do uso de ultrassom nessas reacoes. Nos experimentos com acido acetico a conversao de duplas ligacoes em epoxidos chegou a 73.3% aos 140 minutos e sob 70% de potencia de ultrassom, indicando que uma reducao do tempo de reacao e uso de potencias menores seja uma condicao operacional favoravel a epoxidacao. Para os experimentos sem acido acetico, a variavel tempo foi mais influente e obteve se 68.3% de conversao aos 180 minutos, sob 85% de potencia, mostrando a existencia de um limite de uso para a potencia de ultrassom.
