
RESUMENObjetivo: Analizar los nutrientes de Carica candicans Gray “mito” fruto silvestre del Departamento de Ancash, Perú. Método: La composición química del fruto fue determinada mediante los métodos analíticos de la Asociación Oficial de Análisis Químico. Resultados: El fruto mito (Carica candicans Gray) contiene 48,57% de humedad; proteínas 6,15%, grasa 5,09%; fibra 12,02%; carbohidratos 12,40% y cenizas 15,77%. Conclusiones: El mito (Carica candicans Gray) del Distrito de Colcabamba, Departamento de Ancash, es un fruto silvestre con un contenido de proteínas, grasa y carbohidratos superiores a la papaya (Carica papaya).Palabras clave: Composición química, papaya silvestre, mito.
