Juventud y política en la era digital: Hábitos de consumo informativo en Trujillo, 2025

Abstract

De acuerdo con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, y principalmente con el ODS 16 que promueve la paz, la justicia y las instituciones sólidas, el periodismo cumple un papel fundamental, ya que contribuye a obtener información de acceso confiable, fortalece la participación ciudadana y, además, ayuda a comprender los patrones de consumo informativo. En ese sentido, la presente investigación se centró en analizar los patrones de consumo de periodismo político en diarios digitales entre jóvenes de 18 a 25 años de la ciudad de Trujillo. Para ello, se consideró un enfoque cualitativo, teniendo en cuenta el diseño fenomenológico. Asimismo, la investigación se enfocó específicamente en jóvenes de la ciudad de Trujillo, utilizando la entrevista como técnica principal para la recolección de datos y empleando el método de comparación constante con el fin de conocer de manera detallada sus experiencias, percepciones y pensamientos relacionados con sus hábitos de consumo. Como resultado, los participantes demostraron interés en mantenerse informados de manera rápida, accesible y continua, lo que a su vez fortalece su pensamiento crítico y amplía su conocimiento sobre sus derechos. Finalmente, se concluye que prefieren contenidos audiovisuales breves y accesibles difundidos en plataformas como TikTok, Facebook, YouTube e Instagram, valorando no solo la rapidez, sino también la confianza en las fuentes. Asimismo, suelen participar comentando, compartiendo y debatiendo contenidos, lo que refuerza de manera significativa su rol activo en el entorno digital.
