Sistema informático para la gestión de la información de los ciclones tropicales

Abstract

El propósito principal de este trabajo es el desarrollo de una aplicación web para la Gestión de la Información de los Ciclones Tropicales; se desarrolla en la Universidad de Cienfuegos para el Centro Meteorológico Provincial (CMP) de Cienfuegos. El sistema permite la administración, el manejo y análisis de toda la información referente a los ciclones tropicales originados desde el año 1851 hasta la actualidad de una forma rápida y eficiente. El sistema facilita el trabajo operativo de los meteorólogos del Grupo de Pronósticos en temporada ciclónica al integrar los datos -antiguamente en diferentes medios-, y proporcionando de forma rápida información relevante. Se utilizan como herramientas en el diseño la metodología de desarrollo de software Proceso Unificado de Desarrollo de Software (RUP), UML como lenguaje de modelado, PHP como leguaje de programación y el framework Yii2 para el desarrollo de la aplicación web.
