PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN FIBERGLASS DAN SERBUK KACA TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN DAN KUAT TARIK BELAH BETON SERAT

Abstract

Beton serat merupakan inovasi dari beton normal menjadi beton khusus dengan unsur penyusun antara lain semen, air, agregat kasar, agregat halus dan serat. Konsep dasarnya adalah untuk menulangi beton secara alami dengan serat yang disebarkan acak ke dalam adukan beton, sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya retakan yang terlalu dini baik akibat beban maupun akibat panas hidrasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan fiberglass sebagai serat dengan diameter ± 0,01 mm dan panjang 5 cm dengan variasi penambahan sebesar 0%, 0,25 % dan 0,5% diambil dari berat semen. Serbuk kaca digunakan sebagai pengganti sebagian agregat halus sebesar 25%. Benda uji yang dibuat berjumlah 36 sampel berbentuk silinder berukuran diameter 15 cm dan tinggi 30 cm. Pengujian kuat tekan dan kuat tarik belah berdasarkan pada umur beton 28 hari. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan fiberglass 0,25% dan serbuk kaca 25% (BSK2) dalam campuran beton dapat meningkatkan kuat tekan 18,07% dan kuat tarik belah 34,04%. Namun pada penggunaan fiberglass 0,5% dan serbuk kaca 25% (BSK3) kuat tekan mengalami penurunan 30,61% dan penurunan kuat tarik belah 9,57% dibandingkan beton normal (BS0). Dari hasil pengujian tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa nilai kuat tekan dan kuat tarik belah beton lebih besar dibandingkan dengan mutu beton yang direncanakan 20 MPa.
