A DIABETES NA GRAVIDEZ E SUA INFLUÊNCIA NA FORMAÇÃO DO EMBRIÃO

Abstract

Introdução: A diabetes, doença metabólica crônica caracterizada pela hiperglicemia, quando associada à uma gravidez, pode ocasionar diversas teratologias ao embrião e complicações posteriores à gestante, além do sofrimento e morte fetal comumente relatados na diabetes gestacional. Objetivo: Esclarecer sobre os riscos de teratologias mais comuns relacionadas à diabetes no período gravídico, disponíveis nas publicações. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura e descritiva. Foram utilizados artigos científicos publicados entre os anos de 2013 a 2021. Os artigos foram selecionados no banco de dados eletrônico da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), utilizando as palavras-chave “Gestação and Diabetes”, “Diabetes Gestacional” e “Teratologias relacionadas à diabetes”, sendo a amostra final composta por 7 artigos, em português e espanhol e que se enquadram no objetivo proposto. Resultados: A diabetes gestacional tem implicações diversas sobre o organismo do feto quando não tratada corretamente, podendo afetar o neonato de forma leve, moderada e grave. A hiperglicemia materna conduz uma hiperglicemia fetal, uma vez que a glicose tem a capacidade de atravessar a placenta e, nos primeiros meses, as células betas do feto ainda não estão funcionais, a qual causa teratologias severas no organismo, como no sistema cardiovascular, neurológico, ósseo, imunológico, entre outros. No presente estudo, constatou-se que o risco de malformações fetais nas mulheres com diabetes mellitus tipo 1 é 5.9% e nas mulheres com diabetes mellitus tipo 2 é 4.4%. Conclusão: Os dados mostram que a diabetes apresenta grande influência no aparecimento de teratologias, desencadeando em malformações que irão impactar na continuidade da gravidez e nas diferentes etapas de formação dos órgãos durante o desenvolvimento fetal, implicando posteriormente em anomalias congênitas prejudiciais à sobrevivência após o nascimento.
