Modifications and Enhancements to the NCAR Community Climate Model (CCM1)

Abstract

This report describes the two new unresequenced program libraries created for CCM1 in the early fall, 1988 which incorporate fixes to several bugs that were discovered earlier, improvements in computational performance, and a number of other enhancements to components of the model. The two program libraries CCM1PL1 and CCM1PL2 are identical except for the incorporation of different resolution parameters in CCM1PL2 (parameters appropriate for a T42 spectral truncation), and the incorporation of a gravity wave drag parameterization.
