Mississippi CO2 Project - Corrosion Control

Abstract

Abstract Shell Western E&P Inc.'s Mississippi CO2 Project is composed of the CO2 source wells at Northeast Jackson Dome and three flood fields: Little Creek, West Mallalieu, and Olive. Project design has been dominated by the need for a comprehensive corrosion control plan. The elements of the corrosion control plan for all four fields are addressed in the paper. This corrosion control plan should provide increased safety for all personnel, less downtime due to corrosion-related problems and result in a more profitable project.
