
Basic processes, parameters, and mechanisms are discussed with special reference to hydrodynamics, mechanical actions of one- and two-phase flows, transport processes, electrochemical steps, and mechanical properties of the wall of the flow system. The terminology is clarified. New results on erosion-corrosion in particle-containing liquids are presented. The principles of control measures with regard to flow mechanics, design of equipment, and material selection are presented.
