LMS de apoio a metodologias de aprendizagem ativas

Abstract

As metodologias ativas de ensino-aprendizagem alteram o paradigma do método de ensino tradicional e a interação professor-aluno, substituindo a receção passiva de informação por um modelo focado em desenvolver habilidades, competências, autonomia e motivação. Alguns exemplos incluem a gamificação, em que o processo é mediado com recursos a mecânicas e elementos de jogos, aula invertida, derivada do ensino híbrido, aprendizagem baseada em projetos, centrando a aprendizagem na aplicação prática dos conceitos e muitos outros. O ensino tem vindo a recorrer a plataformas de apoio à aprendizagem, como Moodle, ou Sakai. Estas plataformas, designadas por Learning Management Systems (LMS), são constituídas por diversas ferramentas com potencial para suportar um conjunto alargado de metodologias e abordagens pedagógicas. Este estudo pretende averiguar se as plataformas de LMS conseguem suportar metodologias ativas de ensino-aprendizagem. Para tal, fez-se uma revisão sistemática da literatura, recorrendo aos índices web of knowledge (WoK), Scopus, IEEExplore e ACM. Da qual resulta 1) 335 publicações referenciadas, 2) com 14 publicações relevantes, 3) a análise dos dados infere que as plataformas de LMS suportam metodologias ativas de aprendizagem, sendo suportada a LMS Moodle por 5 artigos e não há qualquer publicação sobre a LMS Sakai. Verifica-se que apesar da adoção massiva dos LMS e da coleção e diversidade das ferramentas que as constituem, a utilização plena destas plataformas fica bastante aquém das suas potencialidades. Os professores, em grande maioria, recorrem às ferramentas que lhes permite prosseguir com o modelo pedagógico que mantinham na sala de aula. Relativamente aos professores que usavam já metodologias ativas, houve uma maior dificuldade em prosseguir com estes modelos, por limitações da plataforma ou pela diminuição do contacto entre professor e alunos.
