Comportamiento hídrico y eficiencia del uso del agua en una pastura consociada

Abstract

En los años 1995/96, 1996/97 y 1997/98 se analizó la respuesta de una pastura consociada a diferentes niveles hídricos y sometida a pastoreo directo y cortes mecanizados. La mezcla forrajera fue festuca, cebadilla y alfalfa var. Monarca Inta en un caso y festuca, cebadilla y alfalfa var. Ici 990 en el otro. Los resultados experimentales mostraron que la mejor eficiencia del uso del agua en los tres años se obtuvo cuando la pradera fue regada y su aprovechamiento fue mecanizado con 1.71 kg m-3, independientemente de la variedad de alfalfa en la composición de la mezcla y el análisis estadístico mostró un comportamiento diferencial en el tiempo. Por otra parte, no se evidenció efecto negativo de la presencia del animal sobre las propiedades físicas del suelo.
