Algae extracts are used in agriculture as biostimulants. Biostimulants are compounds of organic or inorganic nature, which do not have a nutrient function or hormonal nature, and which induce beneficial responses for plants, such as greater growth and productivity, greater tolerance to stress, among other activities. Chlamydomonas reinhadtii is a microalgae that has been used as a biostimulant. This project aims to carry out a controlled hydrolysis of the cell wall of this microalgae and purify, through filtration columns, more active fractions, which induce greater plant growth.
