ÁREAS PERIURBANAS COMO ZONAS DE AMORTECIMENTO NA PERSPECTIVA DE ADAPTAÇÃO ÀS MUDANÇAS CLIMÁTICAS

Abstract

Como um sistema dinâmico a tendência das cidades é produzir insustentabilidade, assim sendo, propostas de renovação para suas dinâmicas, novas formas de ocupação do território são permitidas no processo de ajuste de sistemas naturais e humanos. Medidas de adaptação para lidar com esses efeitos dos impactos reais e esperados das mudanças climáticas envolvendo ajustes. Nesse contexto, o objetivo da pesquisa é apresentar um quadro conceitual de reconhecimento das áreas periurbanas como zonas de amortecimento das cidades na perspectiva das medidas de adaptação às mudanças climáticas. Para esse fim, foi escolhida uma abordagem qualitativa baseada em um estudo de caso do Distrito de Parelheiros, área periurbana localizada no setor sul da Região Metropolitana de São Paulo, como estratégia de investigação. Essa região foi escolhida devido a uma análise prévia, documental e por meio de entrevistas, que concorda com seu alto potencial como Zona de Amortecimento Urbana. A tese de doutorado será desenvolvida a partir de uma estrutura alternativa de estudos múltiplos e integrados, por meio de uma matriz metodológica. Essa estrutura é considerada uma nova abordagem, um panorama dinâmico e em evolução da comunicação acadêmica, como um caminho para a inovação e a experimentação. Defende-se que essas zonas de amortecimento, sujeitas a normas e restrições específicas, podem filtrar os impactos negativos das atividades humanas nas áreas urbanas, promovendo a construção da resiliência, a redução das vulnerabilidades, viabilizando a adaptação às mudanças climáticas e o bem-estar local, regional e global.
