Mercado de trabajo local en la agricultura del Valle de Uco, Mendoza

Abstract

Este artículo tiene como objetivo general caracterizar el mercado de trabajo agrícola local en el Valle de Uco, Mendoza. Desde una perspectiva crítica y sociológica, en contraste con la visión neoclásica del mercado laboral, se exploran las dinámicas de organización, segmentación y contratación que configuran este mercado. La región presenta una matriz diversificada de producciones (vid, frutales y hortalizas) que genera una demanda intensiva de mano de obra y un calendario agrícola en el que las actividades se solapan a lo largo del año. El análisis de transformaciones recientes muestra cómo la reestructuración productiva ha promovido la flexibilización laboral, la intermediación y la temporalidad en el empleo, con efectos en las condiciones y la estabilidad de los trabajadores. Los hallazgos resaltan el rol de redes sociales y migratorias en la sostenibilidad de la oferta laboral y cómo la segmentación laboral influye en la asignación de tareas, las modalidades de contratación y la calidad del empleo. Concluimos que el Valle de Uco funciona como un mercado de trabajo local dinámico y segmentado, influido por su estructura productiva y factores sociales y territoriales. La metodología combina revisión bibliográfica, entrevistas cualitativas y análisis estadístico de datos secundarios.
