Penerapan Unified Modeling Language (UML) pada Digitalisasi Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan

Abstract

Sistem Perpustakaan xyz pada sistem yang sedang berjalan saat ini menggunakan sistem pencatatan konvensional dimana petugas mencatat setiap proses dan pendataan pada pembukuan. adapun pembukuan yang dicatat meliputi data pengunjung, data anggota perpustakaan, data peminjaman buku, dan data pengembalian buku. Ada beberapa masalah yang terjadi, diantaranya pendataan yang tidak terdokumentasi dengan baik, pencarian dokumentasi yang memakan waktu, dan pendataan peminjaman dan pengembalian buku yang kurang akurat. masalah tersebut dapat diselesaikan dengan melakukan digitalisasi perpustakaan dengan metode Unified Modelling Language (UML). beberapa karena UML merupakan bahasa grafis untuk mendokumentasikan, menspesifikasikan, dan membangun sistem perangkat lunak. Observasi (pengamatan) untuk mendapatkan data-data informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam perancangan website informasi. Wawancara (interview) mengenai permasalahan yang dibahas dalam pembuatan sistem. Studi pustaka mencari data dan informasi dari sumber media cetak berupa buku, jurnal dan internet yang berhubungan dengan data. data yang diinputkan berupa data anggota, buku, peminjaman, pengembalian, laporan dan rekening. Admin memiliki hak akses penuh terhadap database. Sistem informasi perpustakaan berbasis website dapat memudahkan admin perpustakaan dalam melacak peminjaman buku dan proses perhitungan denda sudah dilakukan secara otomatis, sehingga memudahkan dalam pencarian buku di perpustakaan dengan lebih efektif.
