Abstract

El estudio tuvo como objetivo general valorar, en base a un criterio de análisis de tipo estructural y crítico, la evidencia genética de la diabetes de tipo MODY. El enfoque de la investigación fue cualitativo de diseño hermenéutico interpretativo; con una población formada por un conjunto de documentos sobre la variable en estudio; la técnica empleada fue el análisis documental y de contenido, los instrumentos empleados fueron la matriz de análisis de contenido y ficha bibliográfica; lo que permitió analizar la información recopilada. Entre las principales conclusiones se tuvo que la diabetes tipo MODY se logra transmitir por un patrón significativo de herencia autosómica de carácter dominante, en el cual va a existir antecedentes familiares remarcados de diabetes encontrados en 3 generaciones consecutivas. La importancia de la identificación genética de la diabetes de tipo MODY tiene como base fundamental el entender esta patología. Asimismo, existen numerosas etiologías en las cuales se resalta distintos tipos de genes implicados en el desarrollo de la mencionada patología, como son los genes HNF1A y GCK.
