Hipotireoidismo na gestação

Abstract

Este artigo discute as complicações do hipotireoidismo gestacional para a saúde materna e fetal, incluindo aborto espontâneo e parto prematuro. Embora o rastreamento universal não seja recomendado, as gestantes com fatores de risco devem ser avaliadas. O diagnóstico é feito por exame clínico e dosagem de TSH e T4 livre sérico, no qual o tratamento é obrigatório para hipotireoidismo evidente devido a sua associação com resultados adversos na gravidez e desenvolvimento fetal. O hipotireoidismo subclínico é uma forma mais suave e a opção de tratamento é controversa. Portanto, é fundamental o diagnóstico precoce e o tratamento adequado do hipotireoidismo na gestação. A metodologia utilizada foi uma revisão literatura narrativa de 18 artigos utilizando bancos de dados como Scielo, UpToDate, Google Acadêmico, PubMed e Elsevier.
