Porifera: esponjas de agua dulce de Colombia

Abstract

Se reconoce para Colombia una riqueza estimada en unas 20 especies de esponjas de agua dulce, agrupadas en tres familias y seis géneros (Potamolepidae: género y especie no identificada; Metaniidae: Drulia, Metania; Spongillidae: Radiospongilla, Saturnospongilla, Spongilla y Trochospongilla). Hay información parcial sobre la distribución geográfica de esponjas dulceacuícolas en las cuencas del Orinoco, Magdalena y Amazonas.
