Paracoccidioidomicosis crónica multifocal

Abstract

La paracoccidioidomicosis (PCM) es una micosis profunda sistémica, endémica de zonas rurales de América Central y del Sur, causada por hongos termodimórficos del género Paracoccidioides spp. La morfología de las lesiones mucocutáneas es variable, y depende del estado de inmunidad del huésped y la virulencia del hongo. En la forma crónica, más del 50% de los pacientes presenta compromiso de las mucosas, en contraste con el compromiso cutáneo que se observa en el 25% de los casos. Se presenta el caso de una paciente con PCM atendida en nuestro servicio.
