Abstract

Abstrak, Penggunaan motor induksi tiga fase di industri sudah sangat umum karena motor induksi tiga fase memiliki kelebihan seperti konstruksinya sederhana dan murah. Sesuai dengan perkembangan penggunaannya, motor induksi 3 fase diharapkan dapat diatur kecepatan putarnya. Kini, pengaturan kecepatan motor induksi 3 fasa dapat dilakukan oleh perangkat variabel frequency drive (VFD) dengan mengatur frekuensi keluaran VFD. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan rancang bangun VFD berbasis Arduino Mega 2560 yang menggunakan metode penyaklaran SPWM untuk membentuk gelombang sinusoida yang merupakan suplai untuk motor induksi. Frekuensi yang dihasilkan pada VFD dapat diatur dari 0 Hz sampai dengan 50 Hz. Hasil dari pengujian VFD dengan beban motor induksi 3 fase diperoleh bahwa kecepatan motor dapat diatur dari 278 rpm sampai dengan 1454 rpm dengan memvariasikan frekuensi dari 10 Hz sampai dengan 50 Hz.
