PENGARUH pH DAN WAKTU FERMENTASI MOLASE MENJADI BIOETANOL MENGGUNAKAN BAKTERI EM4

Abstract

Molase adalah produk sampingan dari pengolahan gula, dan molase berwarna coklat tua ini memiliki kandungan sukrosa yang relatif tinggi yaitu 48-55%, menjadikannya bahan standar yang sangat baik untuk produksi etanol. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan adalah fermentasi menggunakan efective microorganism 4 (em 4). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pH fermentasi dan waktu fermentasi terhadap bioetanol yang dihasilkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pH yang baik adalah 4,5 dengan menggunakan 3 hari fermentasi.
